Kissena Way Support Grows with John Liu

The Kissena Way project looks to connect Flushing Meadows, Kissena Corridor,  Kissena, and Peck Parks by a single, family-safe path.  By creating one path that is ADA compliant and enjoyable for walkers, joggers, and cyclists, we can bring our neighborhoods together, promote better health, and provide local transportation options.

In this effort we already have support from almost 1,000 community members, a letter from the Parks Committee of Queens Community Board 7, and letters from great local politicians: Assembly Member Rozic, Council Member Koo, Council Member Grodenchik, Senator Stavisky, Assembly Member Braunstein, and Council Member Vallone.

The next step is to work with the Department of Transportation and the Department of Parks & Recreation to conduct a long-overdue study for the completion of this route.  Our community has been waiting for many decades for this project.  We need both agencies to work to move forward together.
