Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez just anounced $25.2 million funding a safer connection between Utopia Parkway and Little Bay Park. This previously identified improvement will extend the Eastern Queens Greenway along Utopia from Cryders to the Cross Island.

The current configuration is very dangerous, putting pedestrians and cyclists in conflict with the parkway off ramp.

Although we welcome any improvements, we do hope the Department of Transportation completes is long stalled #CompleteUtopia study. The section between Peck Park and Francis Lewis High School is especially dangerous for the 100 kids that cycle to school.
