Eastern Queens has beautiful parks with local waking, running, and bicycle trails. While the parks are geographically close to one another, they are physically isolated and many of these trails do not connect to each other.

We feel with relatively few improvements we could close these gaps and increase the safety of all the people heading to our parks, particularly our children, the elderly, and those with limited mobility. The Eastern Queens Greenway is a coalition of neighbors with one goal: to create a family safe route from Flushing Meadows to Alley Pond Park and the Joe Michaels Mile.

In attempts to create more enjoyable infrastructure and shift the culture to allow safe passage to that infrastructure, our members have worked on a variety of successful projects including:
