Let’s come together to make our community cleaner and brighter while having a blast in our costumes!
Design the Queens Waterfront Greenway
Are we going to be treated with an extension of the Joe Michaels Mile that goes all the way to Manhattan or tricked by Vickie Paladino into killing the proposal that would help our neighborhood? The choice is up to you.

The New York City government is coming to our neighborhood to ask us how we want this greenway extension to look. They’re listening to the community to hear our local knowledge of the area. Then they’ll have engineers design a safe path somewhat along the waterfront for us to walk, run, bike, walk our dogs, rollerblade, etc. all the way from Fort Totten to the East River. When the City is ready to improve our neighborhood and asking our opinion on how to do it, we need to step up and partner with them. But a scary force is gathering instead:

Instead of working up improve our community, the ongoing culture war is attacking anything that doesn’t fit their warped nostalgic view to keep Queens looking like it used to in “the good old days”. If we don’t stand up now, this force will kill the project and our kids will miss out on the safety improvement that let them have fun outside.
We honestly need you to come out to this event to stand up against the evil ideas that will block this safety infrastructure.
Although not necessary, share this Facebook event to encourage your friends to come. To learn more about the situation, see our earlier article.
