Stewards of New York: Kissena Synergy Lead the Way in Park Restoration
On a humid July morning, nearly two dozen volunteers from Kissena Synergy worked in Eastern Queens Parks, enhancing overgrown trails as part of a grassroots forestry and trails program. Participants, including local students Tyler Tang and Dylan Chung, aimed to improve park safety and promote ecological health while reminiscing about their childhood experiences. In addition to trail maintenance, the group supports community initiatives, such as a food pantry and Participatory Budgeting.
