This month’s the ride lands on Halloween night so expect spooky playlists, glowing lights, and a rolling parade of cyclists celebrating community spirit. We’ll cruise slowly through the neighborhood to spotlight the best decorations and to remind everyone that cyclists are part of this community. Costumes encouraged, lights advised, and good vibes guaranteed.
How to join the ride
- When: Friday, October 31st at 6:30 PM
- Where: Middle of Peck Park (Underhill Ave & 188th St)

What to expect
- A relaxed, slow-paced ride in case there are still a few trick-or-treaters around (it’s about the journey, not about hyping up miles on social media)
- Music curated for spooky energy
- Stops at the neighborhood’s most elaborate displays so everyone can admire and take photos.
- A friendly, social atmosphere focused on inclusion and visibility.
Costume and decoration tips
- Safe costumes work best: avoid anything that blocks your vision, decreases maneuverability, or long trailing fabrics that can tangle in wheels.
- Integrate lights into costumes: battery-powered LEDs, EL wire, or clip-on safety lights.
- Use bike-safe props: soft foam or fabric accessories
Show up with lights, a tune in your heart, and a costume you can ride in. This ride turns Halloween into a community statement: streets are for people, and together we make them lively, visible, and safe.
