Enjoy our Parks in Person or Help Improve Them From Home

The Department of Parks and the Department of Transportation came to our community to get our perspective on how to improve the Queens section of the Brooklyn / Queens Greenway and build a protected bike lane network connecting to it. The meeting was so popular that they had to add a second night, with about 300 neighbors attending in person. If you weren’t able to come, or just want to make sure that your opinion is heard since it was a busy meeting, you can share your perspective right now:

If you’re looking to enjoy one of our great parks today, consider exploring Kissena Corridor Park. For many years our friends at the Kissena Corridor Park Conservancy have been working to turn a section of unused land into an oasis to support the dense neighborhood around it. They’ve done some great things (and have a lot more coming). They’ve just released this map to help bring more community members together.

And as always, our map can help you explore parts of the greenway you might not have been to for a while. Just remember, the Motor Parkways is temporarily closed for repaving.
