Love riding your bicycle? Do you rely on bicycle routing services like Strava and RideWithGPS? If so come to the Flushing Meadows Corona Park Unisphere on June 10th @ 1pm to photo map the parks and streets of Eastern Queens. Led by Daniel Solow, a safe streets activist and OpenStreetMap volunteer, discover great sights and capture parks and city streets by phone to be used for future mapping efforts for OpenStreetMap. We’ll make use of two services: Mapillary and OpenStreetCam. Check out this ride on Northern Boulevard or this ride south on 111th Street. Rain cancels the event. Check the Facebook event link for updates.
Date: June 10th @ 1pm
Start Location: Flushing Meadows Corona Park Unisphere
What you’ll need:
- A bicycle
- (Optional) A smartphone with location services. You can still participate in the ride but will have to join a group with a camera. More cameras = more coverage
- Money for lunch
Very excited to join this! Love doing bike photography. See you on Sunday Daniel
