Since 2016 our group has organized free walking tours through our parks. Join us at noon on November 29th for an easy 2 mile walk starting at the Main Street entrance of the Queens Botanical Gardens (on Main Street between Dahlia Avenue and Peck Avenue).
The walk will mainly be within our park land. Speakers will discuss the improvements that are being made in our parks, like the Kissena Corridor Park Conservancy’s Mediation Garden. We’ll also speak about future projects, like the Kissena Way.
The walk will take place the day after Thanksgiving. We hope you’ll join us as we thank our great politicians who are helping us improve our parkland, including:
Assembly Member Rozic
Council Member Koo
Council Member Grodenchik
Senator Stavisky
Assembly Member Braunstein
Council Member Vallone
Senator Liu
Walks like this have grown due to support of our great allies, including Transportation Alternatives, the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce, Flushing Fantastic, and the Kissena Corridor Park Conservancy. If you RSVP here it will help give us an idea of how big a group we have. We hope to see you there.
